In spring, various types of wild orchids blossom in the underbrush, the most stunning of which are Orchis Serapias cordera, featuring crimson red blooms, and Orchis morio, whose flowers range from white to purple. The dense underbrush contains the spindle and smilax as well as other varieties characteristic of Mediterranean vegetation, such as the mastic tree, myrtle, bay tree, Phillyrea, and rosemary.
